Marples Gears is a small, fast paced, ultra precision gear and CNC machine shop. We are AS9100 and ISO 9001 certified, and we are ITAR registered. We are AS9100D and ISO9001:2015 certified, and ITAR registered. We are located in Azusa, near the 210 freeway Irwindale exit. We manufacture fine pitch precision gears and related components for use in aerospace, space, medical, and instrumentation applications.

Quality Control Inspector

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Inspecting machined part tolerances (as low as .0002, and on occasion, as close as .0001 tolerance) & quality.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have EXCELLENT English speaking, reading, and writing skills and have the ability to clearly communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
  • Have at least 5 years experience of inspection experience, preferably in an aerospace facility.
  • Must be capable of efficiently performing in process, and final inspections on machined components with high accuracy.
  • Have experience calibrating shop gauges and tools.
  • Must be able to use common shop measuring equipment.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and work from engineering prints, drawings, and sketches.
  • Have good computer skills.
  • Have excellent math skills (Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry).
  • Be able inspect and be responsible for the quality of your own work.
  • Must be a team player with a good attitude.
  • Be flexible and multi-tasking.
  • A sense of humor is appreciated

CNC Live Tool Lathe Machinist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for CNC Machinists capable of programming, setup, and running production on our Fanuc controlled CNC lathes and mills. We have day and night shift openings.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have EXCELLENT English speaking, reading, and writing skills and have the ability to clearly communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instruction.

  • Have a minimum of 5 years experience on CNC Turning centers
  • Must be capable of efficiently setting up and programming our FANUC controlled 2,3, and 6 axis CNC turning centers, and running of production of parts on equipment.
  • Must be capable of creating and editing programs as needed.
  • Must be able to use common shop measuring equipment.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and work from engineering prints, drawings, and sketches.
  • Have basic computer skills.
  • Have excellent math skills (Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry)

CNC Lathe Setup Machinist

Marples Gears is a precision gear and CNC aerospace machine shop.  We are AS9100 C, ISO 9001:2008 certified and ITAR registered.  We are located in San Gabriel, California.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for CNC Setup Machinist capable of editing programming, setting up and running production on our Doosan Fanuc controlled CNC turning centers (lathes) with live milling capability.  Some operation of machining centers may be required. They will be expected to work in tandem with team members. You will learn and be challenged through your time with us. We have 14 contemporary, kick-ass, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious CNC machines.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience setting up and programming CNC Turning centers.
  • Must have experience and be capable of efficiently selecting and installing tooling, programming and setting up our Doosan FANUC controlled CNC live mill turning centers within required setup and run.*
  • Should be able to use Mastercam CAD/CAM software.*
  • Must be able to use common shop measuring equipment. *
  • Be able to inspect and be responsible for the quality of your own work.
  • Be able to train operators on running equipment.
  • Must be a team player.
  • A sense of humor is appreciated.

Deburr Technician

Job Description
Marples Gears is a precision gear and CNC aerospace machine shop. We are AS9100 C, ISO 9001:2008 certified and ITAR registered. We are located in San Gabriel, California.
There will be a $1000 signing bonus after one month of service.

Deburr Operator Responsibilities: 
Deburr machined parts by setting up, and operating various equipment; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. They will be expected to work in tandem with team members. You will learn and be challenged through your time with us.

Requirements: 

  • Should be able to operate various tumblers, abrasive brush, flat sand, knife, speed lathe and stone various parts.
  • Should be able to plan based on studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials and specifications.
  • Should be able to verify methods by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces submitted to quality prior to production run.
  • Should be able to maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Should be able to maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Must be a team player.
  • A sense of humor is appreciated.
